I really enjoyed my stay at Pelican Eyes Resort. The views from the hotel are absolutely stunning, especially from the infinity pools. I loved the peaceful atmosphere and how close it is to the town—just a short walk away! However, there are quite a few steps to navigate, which might not be suitable for everyone. Overall, it was a relaxing getaway, perfect for a luxury experience in San Juan del Sur.

My room was clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning. I appreciated the daily housekeeping and the thoughtful touches like bottled water. However, some minor issues like a non-attached headboard were quickly fixed by the staff.
Service
7.0
The staff were generally friendly and eager to help, but there were moments where they seemed a bit overwhelmed or inexperienced. For example, I noticed some issues with how the bread was handled during breakfast. Still, I felt that they were doing their best.

The resort's location on a hill provides amazing views of the ocean, which was definitely a highlight. It's conveniently close to the town, making it easy to explore local dining and shops. Just be prepared for the steps to get around, especially if you’re going to the upper pools.
Dining

The food was decent, but I found the breakfast options a bit limited after a while. I enjoyed some appetizers by the pool, but the restaurant could use a bit more variety and better wine selections.
Facilities

The resort has lovely gardens and pools, but I noticed a lack of comfortable lounge chairs at the pools, which made it hard to relax. Also, it was frustrating that the sunset views attracted many non-residents, taking up space from those staying at the hotel.

I had a mixed experience at Pelican Eyes Resort and Spa. The stunning ocean views and beautiful infinity pools were definitely highlights of my stay. However, I faced several disappointments, including the lack of bar service by the pool and a very uphill walk to my room that was not clearly mentioned beforehand. Overall, while the hotel has its charms, it also has several areas that need improvement.

My room was large and fantastic, but it had a serious termite issue with insects flying out of the wood beams.

The reception staff could use some training; they didn't seem very friendly or accommodating during my stay.

I had a wonderful experience at Pelican Eyes Resort and Spa, but there were some things to consider. The location was fantastic, with amazing views and only a short walk to San Juan del Sur. However, the dining options could use improvement, and the layout of the resort requires a lot of steps, which might not be suitable for everyone. Overall, I was pleased with my stay! 🌅

My room had a great design and layout, though it felt a bit outdated and could use some cleanliness improvements. It came with essentials like hair dryers, soap, and shampoo, and I enjoyed the excellent views.

The service was generally good, with staff being knowledgeable and responsive. They were always ready to assist with transportation around the resort if I didn't want to walk.

The resort's location was perfect for me, offering fantastic views and being just a short walk down to the beach and town.

The dining experience had its ups and downs. While the food was okay, I found it a bit limited and repetitive after a few days, especially breakfast options. The coffee options were also lacking.

The resort had beautiful landscaping and peaceful surroundings, but the limited lounge chairs at the pools could be a significant downside during peak times.

I had a lovely stay at Pelican Eyes Resort And Spa, enjoying the beautiful views and peaceful gardens. though the hotel had some quirks. The walking distances and steps were quite demanding, and the service could improve, especially at the pools. Overall, I appreciated the charm of the place and the local culture, but the resort could enhance its amenities and dining options.

I found the service at the reception welcoming, greeted with drinks upon arrival. However, some of the staff seemed less friendly and accommodating at times. especially near the pools, where I felt more attention was needed.

The resort is conveniently located just a five-minute walk to San Juan del Sur, making it easy to explore local dining options. though getting around the hotel can be quite a trek with all the stairs.

Breakfast was included with my stay, but the options were rather basic and repetition set in after a while. The food wasn't bad, but it didn't exceed expectations. and the wine selection could use some serious improvement.
Facilities

The pools were stunning with amazing views, but limited amenities were noticeable. There were not enough loungers, and the chairs were uncomfortable. along with towels being restricted to one per guest. More shade and better seating could elevate the overall experience.
